Snowy Day

We woke up to the first day of the new year with tons of fresh snow, and we had a great time playing. Ammon and Hinckley are addicted to sledding, and Casey built them a cool snow fort. Aubrey pretty much just took the pictures :)

Christmas 2007

The boys were obviously pretty good this year. Santa brought them both a tool workshop and several story books. Ammon got the dragon of his dreams, and a backhoe for the sandbox. Hinckley got a marble run and Mack and some of the other cars characters. The truck (note: do not call it a Jeep. Ammon and Hinckley demanded a family vote, and they decided it was a truck) was from Grandma and Grandpa Shayne.

The Truck

Hinckley's backside hardly left the truck for days. He ate his meals in the driver's seat. He watched cartoons with his seatbelt on. He still thinks it ought to be in the living room, but after bumping into every piece of furniture we own, crashing into the glass of the fireplace, taking out baby Jesus, the sheep, and the roof of the stable in our star Christmas countdown, Mom decided the truck had to stay downstairs or outside after new year's day. Ammon is quite the pro at driving now, and last time we let Hink try, well, let's just say he ran into a tree and didn't stop and Ammon had to somersault out the side to avoid being smashed :) Our favorite quote from Christmas day was from Hinckley:"Do we have more money to make it go?" The poor child is scarred for life because his Mom never has money to make the cars at the mall go, but they love playing on them just the same :)

Last day of Preschool fun before Christmas break! (Whew, finals were tough! Getting that candy to stick to the roof of the stable took serious skills :)

Hinckley was just wondering if we could ship him back "home" for the holidays. He really misses Aunt Tiffany, Uncle Nick, Aunt Jess, Uncle Tyler, Uncle Ammon, Grandma and Grandpa Shayne, Grandma and Grandpa Owen, and all his cousins! Anybody care to pay the shipping?
